Survey number HAER CA-28 Unprocessed field note material exists for this structure (FN-11). Significance: Riverbank Army Ammunition Plant began operations as an aluminum reduction facility during World War II. Idle until the Korean War, the plant was converted to an Army Ammunition Plant in 1951 for the manufacture of steel cartridge cases.
