Building/structure dates: 1905 initial construction
Building/structure dates: 1910 subsequent work
Significance: Alaskan roadhouses, space about fifteen to twenty miles apart on roads and trails throughout the territory, provided food and shelter for the thousands who came to the North at the turn of the twentieth century. This is one of the few roadhouses which has continued its primary function to the present.
