Building/structure dates: 1939 initial construction
Building/structure dates: 1943 subsequent work
Significance: Severely charred by fire that destroyed the Superintendent's residence in 1939 while still unfinished, the building was repaired in 1940 and converted to the second administration building in 1944, replacing the first. In 1957 it became the Chief Ranger and Naturalist's office following Park tradition of conversion and change of usage.
