Building/structure dates: 1947 initial construction
Significance: Constructed during a period of growth and transition in the community, this building represents the transition from frame structures to the larger and more solid forms of modern architecture. Cap Lathrop, mastermind behind the theatre, was an Alaskan entrepreneur and politician.
